Hope you enjoy the album design as much as Dana and Brian did!
Everyone had a great time at Hunter Mountain this week and it was all for a good cause. On Tuesday 62 teams braved the frigid temperatures and competed in a five-person hose race. Over $36,000 was raised for the New York City Burn Center Foundation. On Wednesday over 32 teams of five from firehouses all over the East Coast participated in the East Coast Firefighters and raised almost $4,000 for a child in need of a. heart transplant.
More details from this great two day event to follow! But for now, here is the link to view both these great events.
Priscilla and Chris chose NYC for their engagement session even though their September wedding is atop the 3,600′ Summit of Hunter Mountain. We love working/shooting in NYC, permit process and all.
As you can see we stopped at Bryant Park to enjoy the holiday spirit, then off to the iconic Gantry State Park all re-done with the famous Pepsi Sign seen from the FDR and then finally some skyline images.
That’s why we just love NYC. You never know what, where, or when you will get the shot!
Julie & Greg……what an enjoyable couple. During their little getaway to the Great Northern Catskill last month, Julie and Greg were ready to cross off “Photographer” on their never ending wedding ToDo list. (Rumor has it that is was really Greg’s job to secure the photographer and yes he did! Little did we know we were going to shoot their engagement photography new york city style.)
Getting married at the Summit of Hunter Mountain next year, the Kaatskill Mountain Club Great Room was the perfect place to meet and form an awesome relationship. Hint – It always helps when you can meet and really get to know each other. During out meeting, Greg asked about scheduling their engagement photography in new york city instead of the Catskills. We love the city and what a better excuse to go!
Now to the eSession……Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens NY was the perfect backdrop for this NYC couple. Letting their dogs Layla and Guinness run off leash made me a little uncomfortable during the shoot. Greg had it totally under control and reminded me that it’s no big deal, we’re in NYC. Not so much if you were a squirrel as Guinness chases one up a tree! They acted so well during the shoot and so did Julie and Greg.
Looking forward to the wedding next year but until then, here are some images we liked…..comment and let us know you like them too!
Last month we ran a raffle on Facebook giving away a total make over and fashion photo shoot for one lucky winner valued at $295. Many entered and Alexandra’s name was chosen by RaffleCopter as our lucky winner.
Alexandra came to our studios located at the Hilton Center for Arts in Rensselaer where she met Daniel Mosses from Daniel Mozzes Designs for her dress fitting. After seeing almost the 100+ designs Daniel has to offer, Allie picked out 3 dresses to be photographed in.
Next we got our makeup and hair designers together, Corinne and Chloë, and came up with a design. Shortly afterwards we head off to the shooting room we went to start our photo session. Allie was a natural in front of the camera and as soon as we turned on the wind machine, everything just fell into place.
Finally, off it was to Washington Park just across the river in Albany to finish out our complementary shoot. Here are some of my fav’s including a little video I shot. ENJOY!
I met Lyndsey through a good friend this winter at Hunter Mountain. Without our local bartender Jerry, we might have never met or had the opportunity to capture this awesome couple’s special day!
Lyndsey described her wedding as “…..it’s a big party in a barn with a band and a Dj, horses outside and lots of friends….” Boy was she right, a party with their friends and the musical talents of Third Rail and DJ Frankieokie.
The barn at Tralee Farm framed this reception with lots of country style and cowboy boots. Even our open-air photo booth sported several hay bails, cowboy hats and Red and White stripes, complements of Drop-it Modern.
Hope you enjoy these images as much as we did capturing them. This couple/party was FUN! Can’t wait for the “Trash the Dress” session as Lyndsey wants to get muddy!
Jennifer and Will were such a great couple to work with! The day was perfect and everything was set for a spectacular summit wedding atop Hunter Mountain’s 3600′ ceremony site.
Will was ready to be photographed (check), Jennifer was ready to be photographed (check), the weather was perfect (double check). Get what I’m saying…..they planned it and checked it all off. It’s such a pleasure when two people who are meant for each other get married and we are there to capture it all. Enjoy these images as you recall their special day at Hunter Mountain with us.
I forgot to mention the hashtag’n that went on with the bridesmaids. If you are confused……. #dazednconfused, #dontgetit, #whatisahashtag, #canIgetahashtag ……. never mind!
Working again with the amazing clothing designer Daniel Mozzes, I got the opportunity to work with some new models and of course with some that I have photographed before. Showing off several new dress designs, this shoot featured a whole new hair and makeup team. Each artist is featured under their image.
I am sure we will see more of Daniel Mozzes and his new MUA team!

What a special opportunity I got photographing a clothing designers private line in downtown Albany. Daniel, who happens to be my next door neighbor at The Hilton Center, is an extremely talented clothing designer. With over a month of planning, Christa (our MUA) and models Lily and Brittany all brought their “A Game” during this shoot.
I am sure we will see more of Daniel Mozzes and his designs!
BTW – I think Morgan gets a dress out of this shoot but what am I going to wear and to what event……..HELP!
Christy and Charley enjoyed not only one wedding but three, yes three separate ceremonies with three parties. Having only witnessed the last one (Mexico would have been incredible to photograph), they were both just as excited as any other couple on their wedding day.
There was a lot less pressure and they were able to take most of the photographs before the ceremony, it allowed us plenty of time after the service to capture the new couple on the 3,200′ summit of Hunter Mountain. Christy’s dress was beautiful, Charley looked stunning and the weather was perfect! We got the opportunity to shoot some pretty outstanding images of these two newlyweds (if you still can call them “new”lyweds)……hope you agree!
